If you‘re anything like me, you’ll be seriously considering a trip away this winter. For most of us in Central Europe, travel is relatively cheap these days with so many low cost airlines offering rock bottom flight costs, especially out of season throughout the winter months. This reason alone is making more and more people travel at the times when they would normally be staying at home with loved ones. Popular destinations, particularly in Europe this winter include France, Portugal and Spain. All of these countries boast a wide range of winter resorts at a price that most people can afford, especially when coupled with the low cost flights. A popular choice for winter holiday makers is the rental of a private villa or apartment. This can sometime be a little more expensive, but it’s nice to have the privacy, especially at Christmas time. The villas in Spain usually have a lot of vacancies around Christmas as many people opt for beach front hotels. Algarve villas also prove a popular choice with more and more people choosing Portugal as a winter travel destination each year.
